RAPC Launches Interactive – Map It Tool: A New Way to Get Involved in Transportation Planning
The Rapides Area Planning Commission (RAPC), the local Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), is proud to announce the launch of the Map It tool—a new, interactive web platform that empowers the public a voice in identifying transportation issues and opportunities across the region.
Is there an intersection that feels unsafe? Have a spot in your neighborhood that needs a sidewalk?
Map It gives you the power to:
• Drop pins on the map to report safety concerns or suggest improvements
• Identify gaps in sidewalks, crosswalks, or bike lanes
• Share your experiences to help inform future investments
Map It works on desktop and mobile devices—so you can contribute from anywhere, anytime. Just drop a pin on the map and leave a quick note. Every comment submitted feeds directly into RAPC’s transportation planning process and helps prioritize projects based on real community needs.
This is your chance to be heard and to help create safer, more connected, and more equitable streets for all who live, work, and travel in Central Louisiana. We’re listening. And we’re planning with you in mind.
